I made this scarf for my lovely niece Sophie for Christmas last year. I posted photos of her scarf on Flickr and Ravelry and I've received a lot of requests for the pattern.
I learned this scarf-making technique from Susan Mills at a knitting and yoga retreat on Monhegan Island last fall. Over the weekend I managed to write out the directions so that you can make this scarf too! This is an easy and fun knit, and a great way to use up those shorter bits of yarn left over from other projects.

Hope you enjoy making the scarf! I plan to make another one for myself sometime soon.
Hello, I was wondering if you could email me the brand of yarn you used for this. The colors are very nice and I was hopig to get them the same or as close as possible.
Thank you

Hi Brendan. I used Nashua Julia yarn and lots of Patons Decor yarn. Hope that helps. Kara

I have enjoyed using your pattern for some time now. In fact, I have made a couple of people very happy with the scarves.
I have recently opened a website to sell my own knitted and crochet items as well as my handmade cards. I was wondering of what are your copyrights over the pattern? Could I use this pattern for my site, sell the scarves. I will put your name and site in the site if you like.
This is my site http://sites.google.com/site/originalthings/Home . It is still under construction, I just opened the site last week, and currently I am making new bears and such.
Have a good day,
Thank you for your time,

Thanks so much for the nice comments about the color scheme. The ROY G. BIV color scheme (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violate) seems to be universally pleasing. :-)
